My Path

This is day 8 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge. It has been a true challenge. I took on this task to try to increase the visibility of my blog about Chesapeake Bay Christmas Co. I also wanted to develop a daily routine of writing and exploring the way my business is tied to my personal life. What I have found is that the two are completely  and indistinguishably intertwined . Chesapeake Bay Christmas is the structured frame upon which I can express both my creative and artistic nature and my disciplined mathematical, and logical nature. It weaves in and out of my everyday life like a path through the woods. It takes me places I have not been and it takes me home again. It allows me to explore new places, to study the things that interest me, and it gives me a rhythm to which I can pace my life. It is predictable and  it is unforeseeable. Every idea that I process enters the realm of possibility of being a new product or line or way of producing such. Every common sense idea or sensible thought I have  may become a better way to run my business, to get things done more efficiently.  Some days my business is only a shadow of my life, but on some days and it is the center of my universe. Since my children have grown and gone the time I have to devote to my business has grown considerably.  Most days it is very satisfying to consider all that I have learned and continue to learn thru the framework of CBCC. Some days I long for more as my human nature demands. Everyday CBCC moves forward as it twists and turns in and out of my family life and  my spiritual life. I always strive for balance but know that it is  being out of balance that brings movement and change and new ideas. New Ideas are the fuel of living and of The Chesapeake Bay Christmas Co....
